Thanks Sprague for his hospitality and talks of obtaining autographs of distinguished individuals for Sprague’s collection with the help of Mr. [Theodore] Sedgwick (1811–1859). Has come to the City “to complete my professional studies with my brother [David Dudley Field, Jr. (1805–1894)], and with the intention of remaining here permanently.” Accompanied by typed transcript.
