John Crawford ( ) of Worcester, "now residing at Fort Massachusetts". Wrote Col. Israel Williams at Hatfield 1755 (whose name also appears in this document) claiming bounty on a scalp of an Indian which he and Gideon Warren had secured. This was paid and the money distributed among the forty-five men composing the garrison. Original Proprietor of West Hoosac house lot No. 59. Present at third meeting of Proprietors 1754. 
Oliver Avery ( ) of Charlemont. Original Proprietor of West Hoosac house lot No. 55. Present at third meeting of Proprietors. Wounded at Fort No. 4 Northfield, 1747. Corporal at Fort Massachusetts 1754. 
Israel Williams (1710-1788) of Hatfield. As Major, was the commissary of the Western Forces. Later, was Colonel of the Hampshire Regiment. It was to him that Col. Ephraim Williams, Jr., wrote four years later, 1755, from Albany relating to his will. This document is included in this COLLECTION, page 43.
