1826 December 27: Letter from H.W. Dwight to E. Williams. From H. W. Dwight, of Stockbridge, to the Honl. E. Williams, mentioning important happenings in Congress, particularly England paying United States "for slaves taken during the late war". This letter undoubtedly addressed to Ephraim Williams (1760-1835) of Stockbridge, nephew of the Founder, and who was at times member of the Massachusetts Legislature, State Senator, and Councellor.
